If Netflix is your best friend, you’re not alone.

In fact, people spend twice as much time on Netflix than they do with live, human friends, according to a comparison by Cordcutting.com.

Cordcutting.com crunched numbers from Netflix earlier this month and found that the average user of the service spends 1 hour and 40 minutes per day using it. They then compared those numbers to the Bureau of Labor Statistics American Time Use Survey, which found that the average American spends 38 minutes per day “socializing and communicating.”

A 2015 comparison by exstreamist.com found that Americans spend more time with Netflix than food, childcare and even sex. How's that for priorities?

Our friends at least rank above “exercising,” “reading” and “thinking and relaxing.” Who needs original thought when we have Netflix, anyway?
