Every once in a few blue moons, we are graced with the presence of someone so righteously bold and delightfully genius, we can only bow down and thank Goddess that we exist on the same planet as them. Meet June Rivas.

When HRM Rivas showed up to work in a smart pantsuit and a kerchief covering her hair, her boss informed her that having her hair in a ponytail and wearing a headscarf was unprofessional, as Yahoo reports. Being the responsible woman that she is and most likely smelling some fresh bullshit, Rivas looked through the company dress code to verify, but only found mention of employees’ garments being “clean and pressed," headscarves were nowhere to be seen. So Rivas filed a complaint against the boss for harassment.

The boss, a woman, for some reason decided to change the dress code to prohibit "straps, hats, sandals, cleavage, back out, lace," and even “cultural head wraps." This 1) blatantly targeted Rivas 2) is pretty racist in general and 3) is probably illegal. Rivas took the memo in stride and decided from then on to strictly adhere to the updated dress code. Too bad the dress code didn’t say anything about colored contacts, wigs, capes, and other superhero attire.

After reporting her boss to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Rivas started showing up to work in cosplay outfits that definitely do not contain hats, sandals, cleavage, “back out,” or lace. While they certainly follow the dress code, they'd also fit right in among Comic Con attendees. Rivas shared some of the photos in a since-deleted Facebook post, but the images are still circulating on the internet.

She’s covered all the classics like X-Men’s Storm, Fantastic 4’s Sue Storm, Uhura (and Spock) from Star Trek, Black Canary, Zoe Washburn from Firefly, and more. This is probably the best form of revenge since #KimExposedTaylorParty. I would like for her to teach me her ways.
