Let's set the scene: It's another morning on Washington Journal, the C-SPAN program that allows we, the people, to call in and ask questions of our representatives.
This particular morning, December 17, 2015, Rep. Dave Brat (R-Va), who defeated former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a primary challenge last year, is taking questions about a year-end spending bill.
Enter Glen, or perhaps, Glenn, ostensibly a Democrat from Salt Lake City, Utah. Glen(n) has two questions for the congressman:
That's right, Glen(n) offered up these two probing questions: 1) "We're spending all this money, where are we gettin' the money from?" and 2) "Can I shit in your mouth?"
Here's Brat's brief, but just perceptible, reaction to the caller's query:
Host John McArdle quickly apologized to Brat and said "We don’t take that kind of language here on The Washington Journal. We’ll move on."
But will we ever truly move on? The questions is, perhaps, best answered by YouTube commenter Old Hippie, who added:
The caller..10.000.000 points Washington 0 points.. Caller wins hands down..lol Peace Old Hippie
Political discourse rules. Peace, Old Hippie.
